East Coast Veterinary Cardiology is a mobile veterinary cardiology consulting service for veterinarians based in beautiful Halifax, Nova Scotia. We provide accessible cardiac care to pets throughout the HRM in the comfort of their family veterinarian’s office. Our services are provided by an ACVIM board-certified veterinary cardiologist with 15 years of veterinary cardiology experience.

I am excited to collaborate with HRM veterinarians to provide support for your cardiac patients. Please visit the appointment scheduling page to submit a referral request. As of January 1, 2023 our mobile services are limited to the HRM region.

May 2023 Update:

Since June 2019, I have offered mobile cardiology referral services to many clinics throughout Nova Scotia. During this time, I have thoroughly enjoyed working directly with veterinarians and support staff throughout the province. I’m so grateful for the support and referrals that have allowed East Coast Veterinary Cardiology to grow and am honoured to be your trusted colleague for cardiology care for our mutual patients.

The increased demand for referrals has made it challenging to provide services to all clinics within the province, and has limited my ability to travel to some areas outside of the HRM. With this in mind, and to make cardiac care more accessible to all Nova Scotian pet owners, I will be joining the Coastal Care Veterinary Emergency & Referral Hospital team later this year. This brand-new state-of-the-art multi-specialty and emergency veterinary hospital will feature over 15,000 square feet with nine exam rooms, a dedicated ICU, three operating suites, a brand-new CT, and all the equipment needed to provide high-level care for the pets of Nova Scotia. Coastal Care Veterinary Emergency & Referral Hospital is conveniently located in Bayer’s Lake in Halifax and will be open later this year.

Transitioning to a fixed location will allow me to accept referrals from across Nova Scotia. It will allow me to accommodate and evaluate more patients, improving accessibility and reducing wait times for cardiac care for pets.  Coastal Care Veterinary Emergency and Referral Hospital’s state-of-the-art facility will also allow hospitalization and management of critical cardiac cases to provide cardiology services beyond what is presently available in Nova Scotia.

With this transition, you can expect the same level of care and service I have offered over the past four years. You will continue to receive a timely and comprehensive referral report for your patient following the consultation with your client. Additional information will be sent to you on how and when referrals will be scheduled in the coming months. In the meantime, mobile cardiology referrals with East Coast Veterinary Cardiology will continue as normal through until the end of August with further updates on scheduling being provided this summer.
